Abstract EN

The current study aimed to measure academic adjustment among students of mass communication department at college of arts, King Faisal university, in relation to some variables, the study also aimed to investigate the effect of academic adjustment on students' academic performance.

the study relied on the survey method, and the data was collected using questionnaire.

the study sample consisted of (129) male and female students, who are (7%) of the original community.

the results showed that the mean for overall academic adjustment was(3.65) and at a high level, male students have a higher level of academic adjustment compared to female students, students who live with their family have a higher level of academic adjustment compared to students who live far from their family, students who communicate with their academic advisor have a higher level of academic adjustment compared to students who do not communicate, second year students have a higher level of academic adjustment compared to third and fourth year students, and students who participate in education-related WhatsApp groups have a higher level of academic adjustment compared to unsubscribed students.

the results also showed that there was no statistically significant correlation between overall academic adjustment or any of its six dimensions and students' academic performance.
