Objective :this study to reveal the extent of the effectiveness of communication activities for public relations in enhancing the reputation of government ministries in the state of Kuwait, given that communicatio -n activities are of importance within institutions, based on the role of the new media in enhancing the reputation of the ministries, as every insti-tuti -on is keen to survive and develop in a competitive environment strong, and in light of the current international changes, the ministry of interior is considered one of the insti-tutions that seek to build a good and successful reputation at the internal level, and the ministry of information seeks to build a good reputation at the internal and external levels of Kuwait..

the study relied on the questionnaire as a tool to achieve its goals and was applied through a comprehensive inventory of all public relations officials in the two ministries.

the study reached many results, including that the most important communication activi-ties carried out by public relations in Kuwaiti ministries are holding seminars and confer-ences, information about the institution, organizing exhibitions and providing work facili-ties.

which contributes to enhancing the ministry's reputation in a positive way by devel-oping its services and providing credibility with the public.

among the most important tools of new media is the use of twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

the most important communication strategies used by the institution to enhance its reputation is the strategy of quality of services provided to the public, followed by the strategy of dealing with transparency and building strong and continuous relationships with audiences.
