Abstract EN

The current research aims to know : (educational wastage for teachers of social subjects in public and private schools), and the researcher adopted the descriptive approach as being the appropriate approach to the research procedures.

she prepared a scale to measure educational waste consisting of (6) basic axes and (36) indicators (appendix 1) I presented it to experts and arbitrators to see its suitability for the educational environment.

the research community consisted of public and private primary schools in the center of Babil governorate, and the research sample was selected, consisting of (200) male and female teachers for public schools and (22) male and female teachers for private schools.

the scale was presented to (22) experienced arbitrators in the universities of (Babylon, karbala, al-Mustansiriya, Ibn Rushd and Kufa) to ensure its validity.

statistical for the social sciences (SPSS) after analyzing the results, the study concluded that the level of educational waste in public and private schools for the fifth and sixth grades was a good level.

based on the results of this study, the researcher came up with a set of recommendations and suggestions, the most important of which are : 1-the necessity of holding meetings of the higher authority in the ministry of education to develop appropriate solutions to reduce educational waste.

2-activating the role of the critical friend in primary schools to follow up on the causes and treatments of educational waste.

3-emphasizing the importance of the role of parents in educating individuals about the dangers of educational waste on society.

4-the necessity of holding meetings for parents due to the impact of educational waste on their children.
