This research aims to study Algeria's position on the right of peoples to self- determination, where by virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development, and the study contained an introduction in which the question about Algeria's position on the right of people to self- determination, and two topics, the first topic dealt with the definition of the right of peoples to self-determination, and a statement of its legal basis and the Algerian position, and the seconde topic touched on Algeria's position on the struggles of peoples aimed at Self- determination, and finally, this is study concluded that the right to self-determination has two dimensions external and internal, and enshrined in the international law, and Algerian constitution, While Algeria takes a dual position, It supports some peoples in self- determination, and refuses to recognize the right of other peoples to self-determination, under the pretext that the issue affects the unity and sovereignty of states, but self-determination is a universal principle, which must not suffer any selectivity and must benefit all populations.
