Morocco's geopolitical environment is controlled by a range of coercions and accumulations, which makes national security targeted by other actors as part of their own security policies, which assume that Morocco is a key player within this geopolitical sphere, whose ambitions and influence must be reduced, and placed under control by imposing a balance of power that ensures the achievement of their security objectives.

Algeria is a neighbour along our eastern border after gaining independence.

As part of its quest to form its national identity, Morocco has been included either through its fierce diplomacy or through diplomatic work or secret intelligence as support and arming the left-wing opposition, or military as the Sand War of 1963 and 1975, or through the full adoption of the Polisario separatist movement, thus providing Algeria itself as one of the most important sources of threat to Morocco's regional role.

While algeria's threat has emerged since its independence, the Spanish threat is more complex by virtue of historical and cultural accumulations in all its loads.

The history of the relationship between these two actors within this geographical area has been mutually confrontational for centuries.

This Spanish security strategy is in mind to avoid the possibility of Morocco's rise as a regional power with diplomatic and strategic potential capable of threatening Spanish influence regionally, and these actors (Spain and Algeria) agree on the same objectives regarding their common adversary.

Indeed, the union of their interests at certain historical stations has repeatedly prompted them to coordinate their policy of striking a geopolitical blockade on Morocco.

This coordination against Morocco puts it in front of a difficult geopolitical given, characterized by an attempt to blockade it in the field, surround it from the east, north and south-west, and try to complete the cordon from the south, so that its strategic role is reduced for the benefit of the rest of the actors.
