Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the degree to which faculty members in the college of Islamic sciences at the university of Karbala practice educational evaluation skills, and for the purpose of reaching the goal of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method) to identify the degree to which faculty members practice educational evaluation skills, depending on the survey method, as the researcher prepared a tool (a questionnaire) comprising (55) paragraphs in three axes (evaluation planning, implementation, results and follow-up axis) to which it is answered by choosing one of the five alternatives (lekart) five-way scale, which is present in front of each paragraph which is (available to a large extent very, highly available, moderately available, little available, very little available).

the size of the research community was (106) teaching and teaching, which the researcher adopted as a basic sample, and the researcher used the following statistical methods: weighted mean, percentage weight, chi square, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient to find stability.

after analyzing the data, the results showed that the average degree of use of faculty members the educational evaluation skills came to a large extent and this is a good indicator, and the order of the study axes in terms of the degree of practicing educational evaluation skills came in descending order as follows : the planning axis achieved a large degree of use, and secondly, the evaluation implementation axis also with a large degree of use, and thirdly, the results and follow-up axis with a medium degree of use.

the researcher also recommended several recommendations, including : holding ongoing discussion sessions among faculty members to exchange experiences with regard to student assessment skills, and emphasizing the issue of self-evaluation for faculty members to know the effectiveness of teaching strategies and methods adopted by them, as well as to move away from monotony and stagnation and keep abreast of continuous developments whether in modern teaching methods or in forms of positive interaction with students, and creating the necessary capabilities for a university professor to use assistive technology techniques in the educational evaluation process.

to complement the aspects of the research, the researcher suggested conducting several studies, including: conducting a study to identify the most prominent educational evaluation problems that university professors suffer from, and conducting another study to identify the obstacles to applying realistic evaluation strategies at the university of Karbala.
