The main objective of this research is to analyze the content of the social science books for the primary school according to the dimensions of the sustainable development during the school year (2019-2020).

to achieve this goal it was required to construct list for these dimensions of sustainable development that must be within the books of social science, therefor the researcher examined and studied a collection of literature books and previous studies related to the variable of current research ( the dimensions of the sustainable development), which contributed in helping the researcher to prepare the three elements of the dimensions of sustainable development economic, social and environmental in their initial form.

this list is consisted of (91) sections distributed among these three dimensions, each dimension includes 3 main areas (knowledge - sentimental - proficiency) each area includes a variety of subcases.

this analytic list was presented to a group of experts in teaching methods to confirm its validity and the experts unanimously agreed on the validity of the presented paragraphs for analysis after conducting some modifications and relocating some paragraphs from one area to another, therefor in its final form the number of sections remained the same.

after that the researcher set out to extract the stability of this tool through analyzing and calculating the percentage of acceptance and similarity between the researcher and himself through time also between the researcher and other analyzers using Holsti equation.

after confirming the specification of the psychometric tool, the researcher analyzed the social science books for the primary school that are included in this research including 3 books at the rate of (249 pages).

the researcher depended on the unity of concept as the unity to analyze, one of the important results that the researcher reached is that the book of social science for the 6th grade has great potential for the dimensions of the sustainable development as it got the percentage of (38%) repeated (247) times, in the second place came the social science book of the 5th grade with a percentage of (35) repeated (226) times meanwhile the 4th grade book got the lowest percentage of (27%) repeated (179)times.

with obtaining these results conducted by the researcher a set of suggestions and proposals are presented.
