Digital stories have emerged during the past years as one of the effective methods of teaching and learning in some foreign studies and can be used in the educational and learning process.

an opportunity for children to express the knowledge they have previously known and to integrate into the content in more serious and balanced ways.

and because the researcher did not find any study in Iraq that dealt with digital stories in imparting historical concepts, which prompted her to conduct this study to contribute to enriching the educational field and to overcome some traditional learning methods and to impart some historical concepts to kindergarten children.

the aim of the current research is to know : - 1the effect of digital stories in imparting some historical concepts to kindergarten children, and the current research is limited to children in government kindergartens in Wasit governorate (al-Aziziya district) and for ages from (5-6) years and from both sexes, so the children were intentionally selected who have grades less than the hypothetical average of (6) degrees on the test of acquisition of historical concepts prepared by the researcher.

thus, the sample of the current study reached (14) boys and girls, and the sample children were distributed into two experimental and control groups, where each group included (7) boys and girls, (4) males and (3) females.

the researcher was rewarded between the two groups in the following variables (children’s scores on the historical concepts test (tribal test) for the experimental and control groups, age, father’s academic achievement, mother’s academic achievement, father’s profession, mother’s profession, the child’s birth order).

to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher built a program for digital stories consisting of (7) stories accompanied by audio and video, and the researcher used the experimental design with two experimental and control groups with a pre- and post-test.

the results were extracted using some appropriate statistical methods for the current research with the extraction of stability in two ways, the first by re-correction, and it reached 100%, and the second method with the equation (Codor Richardson) and it reached (0.77).
