This article deals with the study of guard centers in Tlemcen in Algeria during the intermediate period and to study some of them, all located high on the tops of mountains or plateaus overlooking the sea, and we have made an archaeological study for each fort Wardanieh and Honain.

as for the tours, we studied the M’khaled tower and the Sidi brahim tower and two towers in Sidi Youshaa, the forts were larger than the independently built towers.

it seems that the latter covered the shortage of forts spaced apart from each other, and as all the centers were built high on the head of the sea, their function was to deliver the news to the forts near them, and the method of communication of the news of the approach of the enemy was to light a fire at night or with smoke during the day.
