اتسمت السياسة المالية للمستعين بالله العباسي بالإسراف، و عدم صرف الأموال بالشكل الصحيح فقد أهدر الأموال التي جمعها من سبقه من الخلفاء، و أنهك خزينة الدولة و ضيع مدخراتها، و لم يكتف بهذا الإسراف بل اطلق يد أمه السيدة مخارق و كل من اوتامش، و شاهك الخادم في بيوت الأموال و صارت الأموال التي ترد على دار الخلافة يصير معظمها إلى هؤلاء الثلاثة، بل أصبحت الأموال التي في خزينة السيدة مخارق تفوق كمية الأموال التي في خزينة الدولة، و قد أوقعت هذه السياسة الدولة في أزمات اقتصادية لا تحمد عواقبها.
Abstract EN
The financial policy of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Musta'in Billah was characterized by extravagance, and the failure to spend the money in the correct manner.
He squandered the money collected by his predecessors from the caliphs, exhausted the state’s treasury and wasted its savings, and he was not satisfied with this extravagance, but rather let the hand of his mother go, the Lady Mukhareq, and both Utamish and Shahiq the servant in the money houses.
The treasury of Mrs.
Mukhareq exceeds the amount of money in the state treasury, and this policy has plunged the state into economic crises with ominous consequences.
