Abstract EN

The rule of al-Musta’in Billah witnessed the occurrence of many Alawite revolutions as a result of the deterioration of the general conditions in the state, and the Turks overpowered the country’s capabilities and the spread of poverty among the different groups of society.

Contrasted with the Abbasid Caliphate’s preoccupation with matters of entertainment, music and poetry, many Alawite revolutions took place, the most prominent of which was revolution of Yahya bin Omar bin Zaid, who assumed the task of armed struggle against the Abbasid authority, which did not consider the affairs of its subjects and handed over the state’s resources to the hands of the Turks, and this revolution was the beginning of a number of other revolutions.
