Through this study, to address the concept of the endowment, its pillars and types, and to identify the reality and status of endowments in Algeria from the Ottoman era to the present time.

to conclude that, despite the efforts made by the Algerian state, the endowment sector continues to experience a significant delay, which made the endowment sector not achieve its goals, so it is necessary to speed up the process of searching for Algerian endowment properties locally and internationally and recover the lost and looted ones, and then pay attention to them and developing and preserving its resources, and proposing a set of recommendations that, if implemented, will work on developing endowment properties, increasing their returns and increasing their effectiveness in contributing to meeting contemporary development requirements.
