Studying the issue of the relationship between the population and the unemployment category is of great importance, especially in light of the transformations that countries are witnessing, whether in terms of changes in the population structure or changes in the economic and social aspect, and given the interactions that occur that have affected and continue to affect many indicators, which made studying the relationship between the two indicators is an imperative to know the trends and degree of impact of population growth on unemployment.

this study aimed to know the relationship between the most important demographic indicators that affect the population structure and the development of unemployment in Algeria during the period between 1990 and 2017, and for this purpose, then using the descriptive statistical approach to analyze the data obtained from the national office of statistics.
