Abstract EN

Through this study, we aimed to show the impact of refugees on the economic growth of the EU states through a standard study based on annual data for the period 2000 to 2019, drawing on two variables: the rate of GDP per capita growth as a dependent variable represents the economic growth and the annual number of refugees represented by the independent variable.

the results showed that the fixed-impact model was appropriate for the study, and we found a long-term and positive impact of the refugee population index on the growth rate and a long-term, one-way causal relationship, depending on the common integration and causation tests.
