One of the most prominent challenges facing the garment industry is employee turnover, Thus, the study aims to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction and working sustainability in fashion retail sector.
Data were collected via a E-questionnaire asking about (general data, job satisfaction, work sustainability in the fashion retail sector) on a purposeful sample of (134) working female in the fashion retail sector, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The study followed the analytical approach, and the main findings of the study are: More than half of the women working in the fashion retail sector in Jeddah have an average level of job satisfaction and work sustainability at 72.4%, and it was found that satisfaction with the nature of work in the fashion retail sector came first in their job satisfaction variables with a relative importance of 13.7%.
The results showed a statistically significant difference between the average scores of women working in the fashion retail sector in the total level of job satisfaction according to the variables of age and the number of daily working hours, and in the level of working sustainability according to several variables, most notably the age variable.
Finally, satisfaction with wages was one of the most influential factors in the level of business sustainability in the fashion retail sector.
