Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the training needs for teaching creative thinking skills from the computer teachers perspectives in Jazan region.

the study used the descriptive approach, and the population included all computer teachers in the Jazan's education department with 412 male and female teachers, of whom (213) participated in the study sample.

a questionnaire was designed to collect data containing three themes based on the dimensions of TPACK (technological pedagogical content knowledge) framework, and it was distributed online by the department of education in Jazan region with reminders being sent regularly.

the results of the study showed that the training needs for teaching creative thinking skills from the computer teachers perspectives in Jazan region came in the following order: the training needs in the knowledge component came in a medium degree, the training needs in the pedagogical component came in a weak degree, and the training needs in the technological component came in a weak degree as well.

the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) of the average responses of the study sample for all themes according to gender, in favor of females.
