The research dealt with al-Ahram newspaper’s position on the Taif conference in 1989, which was devoted to finding a solution to the Lebanese issue and ending the sectarian conflict in it by inviting the Lebanese deputies to the conference in Taif in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and under the supervision of the tripartite committee represented by the foreign ministers of Algeria and morocco as well as the minister of foreign affairs of the host country in the presence of Arab and Lebanese political figures all sects of Lebanese society were represented.

after strenuous discussions and efforts that lasted for 23 days, the conference led to the signing of the national accord document on November 5, 1986, and its ratification at Qleiaat airport in Northern Lebanon on November 13, 1989, and thus creating a positive political atmosphere for the election of the president of the republic and the president as for these events, al-Ahram newspaper impartially covered everything that happened to the numbers and conference sessions in both the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and played a pioneering role in the people’s interaction with this most prominent event.
