Abstract EN

This research aims at the effect of metaphor in explaining the poetic image in the poetry of Majid al-Hassan, as the poet sought to build poetic images based on the collapse of the established barriers between the poet’s senses.

the columns of the literary text of modern poetry, then divided the research into two sections, the first bearing the title ((the metaphorical part of the image)) and we explained the term metaphor and explained its impact on his poetry.

as for the second topic, it was titled ((the composite metaphorical image)) and it produced two forms of the image, the first derived from the correspondence of the senses and the second : the chromatic image : and through this we relied in our research on a group of sources, perhaps the most important of which is the development of the artistic image in modern Arabic poetry by Naim al-Yafei, and the development of the artistic image in the critical and rhetorical heritage of dr.
