Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to investigate the impact of employing the interactive book based on QR-Code technology in developing mathematical communication skills and supporting productive struggle among students of el-Obour institutes.

the first semester of the academic year 2022 / 2021, then they were divided into two groups, the experimental, which studied through the interactive book based on QR-Code technology, consisting of (52) male and female students, and the control group, which studied the course in the usual way and its consisted of (52) male and female students.

the current research is a quasi-experimental approach based on a pre-post experimental design in the presence of the control group.

the cognitive achievement test, the mathematical communication skills test, and the scale of support for productive struggle in learning mathematics were applied before and after for the two groups.

the results of the research resulted in the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the associated cognitive achievement test (as a whole) and at each of its levels (remembering, understanding, application), and in the post application to test the mathematical communication skills (as a whole) and at each of its skills (enjoying, speaking, reading, writing, acting), and in the post application of the scale to support productive struggle in learning mathematics (as a whole) and at each of its components (effective practices that support productive struggle before teaching, effective practices supportive of productive struggle during teaching, effective practices supportive of productive struggle after teaching), and a significant correlation was found between the scores of the experimental group and the control group students in the post application of the cognitive achievement test (as a whole) and their scores on the mathematical communication skills test (as a whole), and their scores on the scale of supporting the productive struggle in learning mathematics (as a whole).
