One of the wisdoms of the revelation of the Holy Qur‘an is that people reflect on its verses, look into them, and be guided by them.

This reflection and understanding has remarkable impacts on the interaction with reciting and listening to the Qur‘an.

This can be identified by two things: Firstly, the ―expressive reading‖ which is one of the skills of reading aloud.

It is subject to the recitation conditions and adjusted by the rules of reflection.

This helps maintain the correct reading that does not deviate from its intended meanings, and it protects the meanings of the verses from misunderstanding or linguistic mistakes.

Secondly, noting down punctuation marks in the Qur‘anic verses that need to be read expressively, and this is a desirable matter for the sake of understanding the Holy Qur‘an, and facilitating the process of understanding and learning from it in addition to contemplating its meanings.

This research attempts to contribute to meditating and understanding the Holy Qur‘an, by clarifying the necessity of reading the Holy Qur‘an correctly and with no errors or linguistic mistakes in pronunciation and understanding, plus presenting the limitless efforts that have been made throughout history to preserve the integrity of the Qur‘anic text, and proposing procedural mechanisms with scientific rulings that help the reader to comprehend the meaning intended by the verses of Qur‘an and reflecting on them in accordance with development of Arabic spelling and the use of punctuation marks.
