This thesis aimed to identify the degree of fulfillment of the requirements for school accreditation standards, which are:(effective educational leadership of the school, human resources, dealing with students and the local community, planning for quality and continuous improvement) in government secondary schools in Mukalla in light of the standards of the Arab bureau of education for the gulf states; and detecting whether there are statistically significant differences between the members of the study community due to the variables(job title, qualification, experience).

the researcher adopted the descriptive survey method, and developed a questionnaire of four criteria that included(47) items to measure the four mentioned criteria; and the study sample consisted of(15) school principals,(31) school assistant directors, and(52) educational supervisors in government secondary schools and the education office directorate of Mukalla city.

the questionnaire was applied in the first semester of the year 2019-2020 the thesis showed a set of results; the most prominent of which are : the degree of fulfillment of the requirements of school accreditation standards in government secondary schools from the point of view of the study sample; it was medium in general, with an arithmetic mean(3.26), a percentage weight(65%) and a standard deviation(68).there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance(α≤ 0.05) between individuals of the study sample in their estimates of the degree to which the fulfillment of requirements of school accreditation standards are met in secondary schools in the city of Mukalla due to the variable of the job title in favor of school principals.

there are not statistically significant differences at the level of significance(α≤ 0.05) in secondary schools in Mukalla at the tool level as a whole and the criteria are due to the educational qualification variable.

in light of these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, most notably : the urgent completion and processing of the school development program, a reconsideration of the centrality of planning and decision.
