Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the social issues of women and represent them as a linguistic artistic element in contemporary ceramic sculpture, and to reveal the most important methods and potters' treatment of women's issues as a main topic in their artistic work.

the results showed that potters' methods and treatment of women's issues are a main topic in their artworks, most of them came by using the synthesis method, considering that the shapes indicate meanings and require associative values, the results also showed that the image of women as a semantic artistic element in contemporary ceramic sculpture was represented by a number of social issues, including : women’s biological and gender hardships, objectification, underage marriage, and physical violence.
