The problem of criminal thinking among intermediate school students is one of the problems that negatively affect the social and psychological aspect of the individual.
This problem affects a person’s life, behavior, acts, and mental health, affects the social life of the individual, and relationships with others, and causes him various psychological problems, such as the emergence of undesirable behaviors, an increase in the rates of physical complaints, the emergence of withdrawal behavior, and weakness In family relations.
The current research aims to identify the effect of a counseling program in reducing criminal thinking among intermediate school students.
To ascertain the goal of the research, the researcher put forward the following The researcher has used the experimental design where the sample consists of (20) students who are randomly distributed into two groups.
The researcher has constructed the scale of the criminal thinking which consists of (24) items.
However, the researcher has arrived at the following results:- 1.
There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the rank of scores of the control group in the pre and post test on the scale of criminal thinking.
2.
There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the rank scores of the experimental group before and after administering of the counseling program on the scale of criminal thinking.
3.
There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the rank scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test on the scale of criminal thinking.
