The current research aims to identify the obstacles to the use of e-learning in teaching geographic courses from the viewpoint of the faculty members in the faculties of education.
The limits of the current research were determined by the members of the teaching staff of the Department of Geography in the Colleges of Education, University of Baghdad (College of Education for Human Sciences Ibn Rushd, and College of Education for Girls), for the academic year (2020-2021), who numbered (90) teachers.
The research community consisted of the teachers of the Department of Geography in the Colleges of Education, University of Baghdad (College of Education for Human Sciences Ibn Rushd, and College of Education for Girls) for the academic year (2020-2021), who numbered (90) teachers.
As for the research sample, the researcher chose all the teachers of the Department of Geography in the research community, which numbered (90) teachers.
In order to find out the goal of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire that included (33) items, and after verifying the validity and stability of the research tool, the researcher applied it to the members of the research sample.
After the researcher used the appropriate statistical methods with the research objectives, the research results showed that the number of items that were considered as obstacles amounted to (10).
Out of (33) items included in the study.
As for the recommendations, the researcher recommended the necessity of designing classrooms in a modern way that matches the requirements of the application of e-learning.
As well as the need to conduct training courses on e-learning skills for faculty members to keep pace with the latest rapid developments.
It was also suggested that studies similar to the current study be conducted on other colleges, such as the Colleges of Education and Arts, and in other universities.
