The current research aims to: 1- Measuring the subjective well-being of sixth graders.
2- Knowing the significance of the differences in the subjective well-being of sixth graders according to gender (males - females).
To achieve this, the researcher built a self-well-being scale based on the theory of subjective well-being (Edward Denier).
The scale may consist of (30) items in the style of declarative phrases, and in front of each paragraph five graded alternatives for the answer are (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never) given to it Upon correction, the scores (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) respectively are for positive paragraphs and reflect the correction for negative paragraphs.
After verifying the accuracy of the psychometric characteristics of the research scales and their paragraphs, the two research scales were applied to the research sample, which amounted to (200) male and female students who were chosen by the stratified random method, and the data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the results showed the following: First: Sixth grade students do not enjoy self-well-being.
Second: - There are no statistically significant differences in subjective well-being according to the sex variable (males - females).
