Abstract EN

Monotheism is the most useful science, and the most honorable part of it is the names and attributes because they are related to Allah.

The more or less knowledge of such names and attributes, man’s monotheism becomes complete or incomplete.

The righteous ancestors have correctly understood the verses of the divine attributes, as they believed in them with certainty, by affirming them which boasts words and meanings appropriate for the Allah the Almighty, and disapproving those which requires the perfection of the opposite, i.e.

the perfection free of these negatives.

So, the 99 names of Allah and His supreme attributes have to be affirmed according to the Qur’an and Sunnah befitting Allah grandeur and greatness.

However, some attributes were controversial to the Sunnis and their opponents, and even among the Sunnis themselves.

This research discusses two of the fixed attributes of Allah, about which the compilers did not write in detail, like the rest of the attributes, namely walking and jogging.

The research came to some findings most importantly is that we must meet the two hadiths proving the attributes of walking and jogging to Allah the Almighty with acceptance as they are authentic ones.

It was not written in the books of the ancestors that the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) have ever questioned over the wording of the two hadiths or have asked the Prophet about the meaning of the attribute.

The disagreement in that issue is regarded as disagreement in matters of faith.

Proving the attributes of walking and jogging to Allah the Almighty as a fact does not prevent that the two hadiths indicate great virtue, and that the Allah the Almighty hastens the good for people than they do in their deeds, and that if a person approaches Allah through obedience, Allah approaches them with reward, mercy and doubling credit.
