Abstract EN

This research aims to design an interactive e-book to learn functional garments design based on the generic instructional design ADDIE model, and surveys the opinions of experts and specialists on available educational and technical standards that can be utilized for the purpose of designing the proposed e-book.

Thus, this research contributes to the development of current educational process through the application of a new form of curriculum presentation that utilizes an interactive e-book.

It also presents an interactive method that promotes continuous learning among learners, and supports the strategic vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that calls for the application of E-learning.

Additionally, the research highlights the significance of elearning, demonstrates its method of application and use as well as its contribution in enriching the discipline of functional garments design with a comprehensive scientific material based on modern technological tools.

The researcher has used the descriptive and analytical method in designing the e-book, and utilized a questionnaire, comprised of a set of controlled educational and technical standards, to survey the opinion and evaluation of experts and specialists on the design of an interactive ebook.

The research’s findings have shown positive opinions from surveyed experts and specialists concerning the design of an interactive e-book, in terms of the educational and technical aspects.
