Abstract EN

This research assesses the status of Arabic printed press available on the internet and revisits the 62 websites remaining from a total of 70 Arabic newspapers’ websites, which the author evaluated between 2012 and 2020.

It collected the required data through direct visits to and observation of the selected newspapers’ websites based on 24 criteria sorted in a verification questionnaire.

The research concludes with a general inference from the general scene of Arabic print journalism and its electronic counterparts that Arabic journalism may lose printed press without succeeding on the digital front.
