This paper discusses the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the light of political and ethnic divisions fueled by nationalist-ethnic tendencies, the failure of the Dayton Agreement – and its Western supporters – to stop the country from heading further towards collapse.

This could cause another crisis in the Balkans, which could then drag the entire region, including Western Europe, into complex scenarios whose disastrous repercussions on regional and global peace and security cannot be contained.
