Abstract EN

This research presents an analytical study of five new unpublished inscriptions, found in Wadi Markha in Shabwa (Yemen), the main habitat of the kingdom of Awsan.

although they are brief texts, they provide important information about the kings of Awsan, and they can contribute to the build the chronology for kings of Awsan.

as three inscriptions of them mention three Awsani kings, the first inscription shows the first name of an Awsani king, which appears here for the first time.

the second inscription mentions a previously unknown Awsani king whose name appears for the first time in south Arabian inscriptions.

the third inscription is of a king recently known from another newly discovered inscription.
