English Abstract
Objectives of the study : Analyzing science and life textbooks for the primary stage in the light of the environmental enlightenment standards intended to be included in the curriculum to prepare individuals to improve dealing with the environment, and to present a tentative proposal to enrich it.
Study tool : The researcher used the content analysis tool for analyzing the science and life textbooks for the primary stage.
Study sample : The study sample consisted of the study population represented in science and life textbooks for the primary stage; the third and fourth grades for the academic year (2020/2021) which are (4) textbooks taught in two semesters.
Research Methodology : The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to achieve the objectives of the study.
The most important findings of the study : The findings showed that the environmental enlightenment standards to be included in science and life textbooks fall within five dimensions: the cognitive dimension, the skill dimension, the emotional dimension, the moral dimension, and the decision-making dimension.
The findings also showed a clear discrepancy in the percentages of including these dimensions in the science and life curricula for the basic stage, where the percentage of the cognitive dimension reached (46.9%), while the percentage of the skill dimension reached (20.1%), and the emotional dimension reached (16%), while the percentage of the moral dimension reached (12%).
The percentage of decision-making dimension reached (4.82%).
The findings showed differences in the percentages of including environmental enlightenment standards in the content of science and life textbooks among the textbooks of the third and fourth grades in favor of the fourth grade, where the percentage in the textbooks of the fourth grade reached (54.3%), while it reached (45.6%) in the third grade textbooks.
The most important recommendations of the study: 1.
Analyzing the science and life textbooks for the other stages in the light of environmental enlightenment standards using the content analysis tool that was built by the researcher.

Taking the findings of this study into consideration when developing curricula.
