English Abstract

This study aims to design a personal e-learning environment and measure its effectiveness in developing geometric drawing skills in the technology subject for the 11th grade students in Gaza.

The researcher used the experimental approach with a pre- and post-design for both control and experimental groups.

The study sample consisted of (70) female students in the 11th grade in Al-Bureij secondary school.

The study sample was divided into an experimental group consisting of (35) students who studied through a personal e-learning environment, and a control group consisting of (35) students who studied using the traditional way.

The study tools included an achievement test consisting of (30) items and an observation card consisting of (25) items.

The test and observation card were applied in the pre-application stage to ensure that the two groups were equal and the post-application to measure the effectiveness of the personal e-learning environment.

The study also shows that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group students and the average scores of the control group students in the post-test application in favour of the experimental group.

It was also found that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group students and the average scores of the control group students in the post application of the observation card of the performance skills of the geometric drawing skills in favor of the experimental group.

There was also a significant effect in using the personal e-learning environment, with such effectiveness reaching more than (1.2) in Blake’s gain ratio.

The researcher recommends the use of and paying attention to personal eLearning environments and the development of self-learning methods.

She also recommends the development of ways of communication between students and the use of the Internet more often in the field of education.

Works should be devoted to develop students’ manual geometric drawing skills and computerized three-dimensional geometric drawing skills and train them to use modern computer programs.
