Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to measure the level of positive thinking among students of the University of Mosul, and to identify the significance of the difference in positive thinking among the research sample according to the gender variable (male, female) and the type of specialization variable (scientific, human), and the basic research sample consisted of (958) male and female students.

They were chosen by random, stratified proportional method from the third grade in the faculties of Mosul University for the academic year (2020- 2021).

The apparent validity was found, and the structural validity of the scale was also found, and the stability of the scale was extracted by re-testing, as the value of the reliability coefficient reached (0.81), and by the method of Cronbach's alpha coefficient, where the reliability coefficient reached (0.84).

After applying the two scales, the data extracted from the answers of the members of the research sample were processed statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program, and the results showed that the third-grade students from the colleges of the University of Mosul have an average level of positive thinking, and the results also showed a statistically significant difference in the level of thinking.
