This study aims to analyze the 2021 Iranian presidential elections from several aspects, including the electoral process and the stage after it.

the study analyzes elections with reference to Iran's constitution, electoral system and the domestic and foreign political developments.

the importance of the elections for Iran's domestic and foreign policy and the expected developments after the elections have also been discussed.

candidate profiles, discourses, and the factions they belong to have been elaborated by emphasizing their relationality.

election results are not important only at the political elite level; but also at the level of state-society relations in Iran.

finally, this study concluded that the presidential election has the potential to shape Iran's actual politics but also could trigger structural political reforms.
