The study aimed to reveal the most prominent obstacles facing the employment of persons with visual disabilities from their point of view in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

to achieve these goals, the researchers used the descriptive survey method, and also used the questionnaire as a research tool.

(obstacles related to the individual, obstacles related to society, obstacles related to the family, obstacles related to employers, obstacles related to the environment), where the research sample amounted to (65) persons with visual disabilities, males and females, the study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are in the aspect of obstacles related to the individual, the lack of training necessary for some tasks that require doing the work correctly, and the low wages that lead to reluctance to accept the job, and one of the most prominent results related to the obstacles of society is the lack of job opportunities available to persons with visual disabilities.

and the low rates / rate of jobs offered to people with visual disabilities, and one of the most prominent obstacles related to the family is the lack of the necessary and continuous means of transportation when employing its visually impaired children, which represents a major obstacle to their access to work.

as for the obstacles related to employers, they were represented in the lack of interest in employing people with visual disabilities by employers, and the absence of support from employers when hiring people with visual disabilities, which leads to the lack of adaptation of the visually impaired in the job, and came among the most prominent obstacles related to the environment weak financial allocations for making the adjustments and adaptations that should be in the current work establishments to accept the employment of persons with visual disabilities, and the misconception of the high costs related to services or equipment required by the work when hiring persons with visual disabilities, among the most prominent recommendations of the study were the following : the adoption of a national strategy and action plan for the employment of persons with visual disabilities., and finding a special path for the employment of persons with visual disabilities in the ministry of human resources and social development, by allocating a percentage for them of the offered jobs.
