English Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of using the K.W.L.H.

strategy for the development of the habits of mind among the seventh-grade students in Gaza.

The researcher used the experimental approach which involved the design of two groups with a pre- and post-test, and used a test of the habits of the mind consisting of (25) items as the study tool.

The study sample included (62) female students from Shati’ Prep Girls (C) School.

The main result of the study is that there are statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group and the average scores of their peers in the control group in the test of the mind habits post-test, in Favor of the experimental group.

The main recommendations of the study are as follows : 1.

The K.W.L.H strategy should be used in all stages of teaching to develop the habits of mind.

2.

Holding workshops and training courses for teachers to demonstrate the importance of using the K.W.L.H.

strategy in education.
