Abstract EN

This study aims to contribute to the disclosure and documentation of the Faculty of Arts; Through studying the documents of scientific reports of excavations that took place in Maadi, Tuna, Al-Gebel, Giza, and other archaeological areas during the twentieth century, which were written by the supervisors from college professors in each of the fields of archeology and geography.

The study deals with defining these reports in terms of their numbers, shapes, languages as well as analyzing them to educe historical information within.

The study depended on the documentary research approach, relying on the digital documents of excavation files saved in the electronic memory unit, as well as paper files.

The study recommends that the websites of University and College provide information about the college excavations, professors who supervised them, as well as presenting their discoveries and scientific reports published about them; as for sure it reflecting light on an important period in the college's history, it is also a tool to direct the attention of academic communities and others to the importance of academic archives in documenting their history, besides they contain important documents worthy of attention and research.
