Abstract EN

Algeria is witnessing a remarkable increase of the traditional therapy methods, many people of different intellectual levels are heading towards it as an alternative to modern therapy methods ; therefore it is appropriate to say that it is evolving to un undeniable .it is fair to say that these traditional therapy methods are being practiced in spontaneous organized unofficial ways.

therefor it can be said that it represents a kind of competition to all modern therapy methods because it depends on referring the cause of most psychological and mental diseases to metaphysical reasons and giving it a spiritual dimension especially which are known of being popular subjects that interests a large part of society.

therefore, this phenomenal has a huge impact on the reality of the psychological practice in Algeria because these methods are mostly taking its legitimate from the Islamic religion which is the official reference of people which makes the situation a more complicated one.

on the light of these facts problematic, is proposed : what are psychological functions of the disease and therapy representation for the Algerian youth ?
