Ayyoub draws from the repertoire of figures of rhetoric, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also to better highlight the complex situation found in postcolonial Algeria.
note that the term "rhetoric" means : "art of expression and persuasion".
indeed, like many post-independence writers, Ayyoub expresses, notably through the use of allegory, his dismay and his indignation at the flouted promises of the national revolution.
he engages in a writing of disillusion / disenchantment while highlighting his political ideal and his position in favor of values of social justice, civil rights and progress.

Ayyoub puise dans le répertoire des figures de rhétorique, non seulement pour des raisons esthétiques, mais aussi pour mieux mettre en relief la situation complexe que travers l'algérie postcoloniale.
notons que le terme "rhétorique" signifie : «art de s'exprimer et de persuader».
en effet, à l'image de nombreux écrivains des après-indépendances, Ayyoub exprime, par le recours, notamment à l'allégorie, son désarroi et son indignation face aux promesses bafouées de la révolution nationale ; il s'engage dans une écriture de disillusion / désenchantement tout en mettant en exergue son idéal politique et sa prise de position au profit de valeurs de justice sociale, de droits civils et de progrès.
