Abstract EN

This study came to highlight the unprecedented demand of citizens for alternative or complementary medicine, which took several forms, including cupping, ruqyah, and the use of some herbal mixtures, as they compete with hospital and pharmaceutical clinics, and in the absence of legal frameworks regulating them, anyone can practice this type of medication without taking into account the patient’s health and safety, and accordingly this study showed the extent of the phenomenon in Algerian society and the state of Aindefla as a model for it, and it highlighted the various forms of fraud practiced by some of those in charge of it as complementary and alternative medicine, and that treatment with it is considered effective for incurable diseases that were unable about modern medicine.
