Abstract EN

The Mental picture of a university student in the Algerian press is an analytical descriptive study in the content of the "Al-Taleb » supplément, published by” El -watan “newspaper.

In this study, we chose the method of studying the case, relying on the content analysis method, and we have selected a group of units and categories that serve the topic, so that we can answer the problem at hand, or deny or prove the credibility of the two hypotheses that were developed at the beginning of the study.

We found that the news Paper employed a largely positive media agenda in dealing with events and issues that permeated the study's time.

We also found that there was discrimination in the salary of cases, thus building the image of students, as well as selective monitoring in coverage related to students' affairs across their specialties and universities.
