Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the reality of work accidents in the Algerian institution, as well as the most important sources that cause them, and to identify the role of the psychologist in reducing and mitigating them.

And that was through a field study at the African Company for Glass in the state of Jijel ENAVA using the descriptive exploratory approach on a sample of 50 workers who were selected in a simple random way through the distribution of a 35-item questionnaire that measures how the psychological specialist intervenes in reducing work accidents and we reached the following results: There are a number of factors that cause physical work accidents.

80% of the intervention is to provide the proper physical and technical conditions.

56% through psychological accompaniment and motivating workers to overcome work accidents.

80% through their training on occupational safety procedures and measures.

70% by raising their awareness and creating a culture of occupational safety through holding forums, lectures and distributing publications about the seriousness of this phenomenon and how to reduce it.
