talking about social change has become approach in the field of human and social sciences nevertheless, it is an inescapable reality, all observers agree to quality our era as the era of great changes we are, witnessing multiple and diverse upheavals at all levels of social life.

Some researchers attribute these changes to technical and economic development and to the omnipresence of the media in our lives.

Thinking about social change necessarily involves the Algerian family because the general conditions of life in Algeria have changed in recent years the various crises, whether social or economic, have accelerated under the pressure of new family models, “el aila” which is a large family, based on the attachment to the patrilineal origin, the division of roles, the segregation of space, and family support has undergone upheavals other than the requirements of traditional conventions.

Community habits were born, an individualization of family forms which gave the couple tasks formerly ensured by the whole family group.

In particular the care of children by their own parents.

Such a change gives the concern of education a central and new place, hence the idea of analyzing the educational process currently implemented by Algerian parents.

Through this article, we want to address the educational role, of this new form of the family we want to identify what has really changed in educational practices and the effect of some sociodemographic characteristics on parental practices from the point of view of parents.

Have the methods of education in Algerian families changed and according by methods been adopted that are identical to the current situation? Or did it remain the same despite the change in the structure of the Algerian family

Nous assistons à des bouleversements multiples et divers à tous les niveaux de la vie sociale.

Certains chercheurs attribuent ces changements au développement technique, économique et à l'omni présence des medias dans notre vie.

Car les conditions générales de la vie en Algérie se sont transformées au cours de ces dernières années.
