Abstract EN

This study deals with historical codification as a living example of the thinking prevailing among civilizations, including Arab-Islamic civilization through the figure of the geographical historian Shahabuddin Ahmed bin Yahya bin Fadallah al-Omari (T749 AH/1349 AH); Identifying him in terms of birth and origin, his elders and pupils, his scientific standing, the opinions of scientists about him, his texts that have been called upon to this day but for which many historical facts have not reached us, on the one hand, and on the other hand illustrating his contributions to geographical historical writing by studying the author labeled "The Path of Sight in the Kingdoms of the Encyclopedia"; which touched upon the history of the Eastern and Moroccan kingdoms during the Middle Ages.
