Abstract EN

This study aims to know the relationship between demographic transition and health transition, by knowing the extent to which development in the health field affects the determinants of demographic transition represented in both births and deaths.

By looking at the data of major surveys and investigations on population and health in Algeria, where the descriptive analytical method was adopted to analyze these data using the techniques of the statistical method, for the purpose of reaching the most important results and listing some recommendations.

Accordingly, it was found through this study that the development of the health system in Algeria has a direct impact on the transformation of the type of prevalent diseases, from the pattern of communicable and infectious diseases to chronic diseases, and this transformation, in turn, also directly contributed to the so-called demographic transitionKey words: Demographic growth; demographic transition; epidemic transition; health transition.
