The new fields of literature promote the anchoring and fictional transmission of historical personalities through the rewriting that generates literary myths.
Khlifa Benamara's work is a fertile ground for the mythical emergence of the historical and literary figure of Isabelle Eberhardt.
this article is a mythical and intertextual analysis which aims to study the intertextual configurations which are related to the representation effectuated by the writer Khlifa Benamara on both of the historical and literary figures of Isabelle Eberhardt in his works “diary of tan insurgent” and “stories from the South” which are a good mixture of mythical representation and portrayal of the Algerian reality.
