This study aims to shed light on one of the most recent and important model of operations research, which is the goal programming (GP) model.

This model is usedin the production planning over the medium term; in the presence of several conflicting goals that the organization looks forward to achieve at the same time.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of this model in practice, itis applied on "Elhidhab El Oulya" mills Corporation in Setif, which is considered as one of the production enterprises using Lindo18 program.

The study concluded that the use of the goal programming (GP) modelcontributed to achieving an optimal production plan for a set of objectives; represented in reaching the target level of (total turnover, total production costs, optimal production quantities).
