Abstract EN

We have addressed in this research one of the most interests of concern in all human societies' life, it's about seeking to move from a lower civilized status to another higher, where thinking about changing social and cultural conditions for the better is the main concern for all human groups in their various levels of civilization and that's within a permanent endeavor to seek out the desired happiness.

Therefore, most of the thinkers have devoted their time trying to understand this preoccupation and answering all questions surrounding it.

On such a basis was my springboard to try to probe the heart of this topic, with some Muslim Thinkers in divergent historical stages, and our choice of each of Abdul Rahman Ibn Khaldun and Malek Bennabi was in order to find out whether the factor of time had an effect on the general perception of this subject in both.

We have come to realize the similarity of their points of view on this topic; especially in their reference to the multiplicity of factors controlling social and cultural change, as well as their focus on the decisive contribution of the moral dimension to make a qualitative leap from a state of backwardness to a state of development and growth.
