This research deals with the study of the meaning of the police system in Islam, and its importance in human life, and in purifying society from corruption and moral decay.

historians have differed about the date of the emergence of this system.

the study aims to show the nucleus of the emergence of the police system in the era of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, and its development during the era of the rightly-guided caliphs, the Umayyad era, and the Abbasid era when the police increased and their powers expanded until they were separated from the judiciary.
