Motif is a term that appeared in France and America and moved to all European countries.

studies began searching and employing this term in plays, novels and poetry, then moved to the Arabian world portrayed in the use of repetition, the main idea or the recurring theme in the literary work.

Rasmiya Muhaibis: she is one of the contemporary poets from southern Iraq.

she wrote poems in the early days of her life about the homeland, and she used the motif in most of her poetry works.

the method of research is a descriptive-analytical method, in which i showed the poet's attitude towards the motif, and explained the way in which she took the motif as a guide for her comfort and serenity, and sometimes as her companion since her childhood.
